The Footer is the bottom section of your store. It usually holds your brand info, links, social icons, payment logos, and copyright. You build it from blocks.
Where to find it
In the builder, click the footer in the preview or pick Footer in the Sections tab. To add one, pick Footer in the Layout group. One footer per page, on any page. Each page keeps its own copy, so use Apply to all pages when you are done, see Sections and blocks.
Footer settings
- Width: Page or Full.
- Color scheme, Gap (space between blocks), Padding, and the Custom CSS tab.
Blocks placed directly in the footer stack from top to bottom. To put them side by side in columns, place them inside a Group set to Horizontal.
The footer blocks
- About us: a brand area that holds a Logo, up to 2 Text blocks, Contact info, and one group. Arrange them with Direction, Position, Alignment, Width, and Gap. With no logo image, your store name shows as text.
- Contact info (inside About us): E-mail, Phone, and Second Phone. Shoppers can tap them to write or call. Empty fields are not shown.
- Menu: shows one of your menus. Top items with sub items become titled columns: one column on phones, up to four on wide screens. Menus are made in How do I create navigation menus and add them to my header and footer?.
- Social media icons: links to your profiles, with the same icon settings as the Social media icons section. See How do I add social media icons to my store (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp)?.
- Payment icons: logos of the payment methods turned on in your store, added for you. For example, Stripe adds card logos. There is nothing to set. See What payment methods can I offer and how do they show at checkout?.
- Privacy links: links to your published policies, with Size and Case (Default or Uppercase). Only published policies show, see How do I edit and publish my store policies (privacy, terms, refund, shipping, cookie)?.
- Copyright: the current year and your store name, updated every year by itself. Powered by adds a small Storeep link. Set Size and Case. The name comes from How do I change my store name, time zone, and weight unit?.
- Text (up to 2) and Divider (up to 2): see How do I use the Text, Image, and Divider sections and blocks?.
- Group (up to 3): a container to build columns and rows. See How do I use Group blocks to place content side by side or in columns?.
Each block type can be used once, except Text, Divider, and Group. A footer holds up to 9 blocks at the top level.
Recipe: a footer with columns
- Add a Group and set Direction to Horizontal. Turn on Stack vertically on mobile.
- Move About us, Menu, and Social media icons into it. Each one becomes a column.
- Below the group, add a Divider, then a second horizontal group with Copyright and Payment icons. Set its Alignment to Space between to push them to the two sides.
Good to know
- Text inside a group: footer groups do not take Text blocks. Put your text in About us or directly in the footer.
- A block does not show: Payment icons, Privacy links, and Social media icons stay hidden until there is something to show (a payment method, a published policy, or an account).
