Sendit: how do I send my Moroccan orders automatically?

Connect the Sendit app with your Sendit public and private keys and a pickup city, and every Morocco order you confirm becomes a Sendit parcel with the right city, the amount to collect and a printable label.

What Sendit is for

Sendit is a cash on delivery (COD) delivery company in Morocco. With the app installed, each order from your Morocco market becomes a Sendit parcel the moment you change its status to Confirmed. Orders from other markets are never sent.

Connect Sendit

  1. Install Sendit from Apps and open it.
  2. In your Sendit account, open API and create a developer access. In the Connection tab, copy its public key and private key into Public key and Private key.
  3. In the General tab, choose Where are your products? and pick your Pickup city, the city where Sendit collects your parcels. Leave the city empty only when all your products are in the Sendit warehouse.
  4. Keep Activate on and click Save. Storeep checks the keys with Sendit right away and tells you if they are wrong.
  5. In the Webhook tab, click Send test parcel. Storeep creates one parcel named TEST STOREEP - NE PAS RAMASSER worth 1 MAD in your Sendit account, so you can see it arrive. Delete it in Sendit before you request a pickup.

Send an order from the order page

You do not have to confirm an order first. Open any order from your Morocco market and go to its Delivery tab: the Sendit card is there as long as the app is installed. Check the city, pick where the parcel Ships from and, for a parcel from the Sendit warehouse, its Packaging, then click Send to Sendit. An order that is not confirmed yet is confirmed automatically once the parcel is created.

Ships from starts on your choice in Where are your products?. With the warehouse as your choice, an order with a product your Sendit warehouse does not hold starts at your place instead, as long as you saved a pickup city. Confirming an order without opening it follows the same rule. What you pick only applies to this parcel, and once it is sent the card shows where it left from.

You can send an order that is Abandoned, Pending, Not reached, Confirmed, Prepared or in one of your own statuses. Any other order, for example a Shipped, Delivered or Cancelled one, shows Not sent with its status, since only orders that have not left yet can be sent.

Products kept in the Sendit warehouse

In Where are your products?, pick At my place when Sendit collects parcels from you, or In the Sendit warehouse when your stock is stored at Sendit. With the warehouse choice, Sendit prepares each parcel from your stock in the Packaging you pick, one of the packagings in your Sendit account or No packaging. If some of your products stay at your place, keep your pickup city saved too, so you can send those orders from your place.

Each product's SKU in Storeep must match its reference (or its code) in your Sendit warehouse. Sendit references are 12 characters at most, so keep your SKUs that short. An order with a product Sendit does not know, or one that is out of stock, is not sent, and the order page tells you which product to fix.

Get delivery updates back

After the first save, the Webhook tab shows your Webhook URL. Copy it, then in your Sendit account open API, Webhook integration, create a webhook for parcel status updates with that URL, and pick the same API key you pasted in Storeep.

Once the webhook is set, Storeep moves the order for you: picked up or on the way becomes Shipped, delivered becomes Delivered, customer unreachable becomes Not reached, refused becomes Rejected and cancelled becomes Cancelled. An order never moves backwards, and an order you set to Done or Returned yourself is left alone. To stop these updates, remove the webhook in your Sendit account.

How the Sendit city is found

Sendit needs one of its own cities (and, in Casablanca and Mohammedia, a neighbourhood) for every parcel. Storeep finds it from the city and address your buyer typed, in French, Arabic or common spellings like "casa" or "mrakch". When the city had to be guessed, the order page shows a Guessed tag, and you can pick another city and click Update city while the parcel waits for pickup.

When an order is not sent

Open the order: the Sendit section says why and lets you fix it.

  • City not found: pick the Sendit city and click Send to Sendit.
  • Phone not accepted: Sendit only accepts Moroccan numbers. Edit the phone, then send the order.
  • Amount too high: Sendit does not collect more than 5,000 MAD on one parcel.
  • No address: add an address, then send the order.
  • Product not in warehouse: hover the tag to see which products Sendit does not have. Add them to your Sendit warehouse with the same SKU, then send the order.
  • Refused by Sendit: hover the tag to read the reason Sendit gave, fix it, then send the order.

Confirming the same order again never creates a second parcel. If you delete a parcel in Sendit, confirming the order again sends a new one, and the order page notices the next time you open it and lets you send the order again.

What Sendit receives

  • The buyer's name, phone, address and note.
  • The amount to collect, which is the order total minus anything already paid online.
  • Each product's name and quantity, or its warehouse product and quantity when Sendit prepares the parcel from your stock, and as the reference, your order number followed by the name of the person who confirmed or sent the order, for example 1042-Salma Bennani.
  • Whether the buyer may open the parcel or try the product before paying, from Allow opening the parcel and Allow trying the product.
