When you add a newsletter section to your storefront, shoppers can subscribe by entering their e-mail address. Every address they submit is collected on the Newsletter page, where you can search through your subscribers, export them for an e-mail marketing tool, and remove addresses you no longer want.
Opening the newsletter list
Newsletter subscribers are customer data, so the page sits alongside your customers. Open the Customers page and click the Newsletter button at the top, or open the Newsletter page directly. Anyone with permission to view customers can also view the newsletter list.
The table shows one row per subscriber with two columns: Date (when the address was submitted, in your store's time zone) and Email. The list is paginated at 40 subscribers per page and sorted newest first by default.
Searching and sorting
Click the filter icon to open the filter panel. Two controls are available:
- Search: free-text field (up to 255 characters) that matches against the subscriber's e-mail address. The search is not case-sensitive.
- Sort: two radio options, Newest first (default) and Oldest first.
Click Show results to apply your filters, or the broom icon to clear them.
Exporting subscribers to a CSV file
Click the Export CSV button at the top of the page to download your subscribers as a spreadsheet file. The export respects the search filter currently applied, so you can export either your whole list or just the addresses matching a search. The file is named subscribers-YYYY-MM-DD.csv and contains two columns, Email and Subscribed at. It is encoded in UTF-8 so addresses display correctly in Excel, Google Sheets, and e-mail marketing tools.
If there are no subscribers matching the current view, no file is created and a message tells you there is nothing to export.
Deleting subscribers
To delete a single subscriber, click the trash icon at the end of their row and confirm. To delete several at once, tick the checkboxes on their rows, click the gear icon at the top of the table, and choose Delete subscribers. Deleting a subscriber only removes their newsletter address; it does not affect their customer profile or any orders.
How addresses get collected
Subscribers are added automatically whenever a shopper submits the newsletter form on your storefront, so there is no way to add an address manually from this page. Each e-mail address is stored once per store, so a shopper who subscribes twice does not create a duplicate row.
Not seeing any subscribers? Confirm that your storefront actually has a newsletter section published. Open the storefront builder, add a newsletter block to a page, and publish; new subscriptions will start appearing here.
