Storeep provides two separate recovery paths: one for orders that were deleted from the orders list, and one for customers who began a checkout but never placed an order. This article covers both.
Recovering deleted orders
When you delete an order it is soft-deleted: the record is kept behind the scenes and can be restored as long as it was deleted within the last 2 months. Orders deleted more than 2 months ago are automatically and permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Opening the recovery panel
On the Orders page, click the Recover (rotate arrow) button in the top-right toolbar. A modal panel titled Recover deleted orders opens.
Finding deleted orders
The panel shows a table of all deleted orders from the past 2 months. For each order you can see:
- Order number and the date and time it was deleted (shown in your store's timezone)
- Customer full name
- Order total and currency
- The status the order had when it was deleted
To narrow the list, use the Date range filter at the top of the panel. Select a date range with an optional time component using the calendar picker and press Show results. The date range filters on the deletion date, not the original order creation date. The panel paginates at 40 orders per page.
Recovering a single order
Click the Recover the order button (rotate arrow icon) on the order's row. The order is immediately restored to your active orders list with its original status intact.
Recovering multiple orders at once
Tick the checkboxes on each order you want to restore, then click Recover orders from the bulk action dropdown at the top of the table. All selected orders are restored in one operation.
Important notes
- Test orders are excluded from the recovery panel and cannot be recovered.
- Once the 2-month window has passed, the deletion becomes permanent. There is no override for this limit.
- Recovering an order does not change its status: it comes back exactly as it was when deleted.
Re-engaging abandoned carts
When a customer adds items to their cart and begins checkout but does not complete the order, Storeep records the session as Abandoned. These appear in your orders list with the Abandoned status (subject to the 10-minute delay for card and e-wallet payments, see Understanding order statuses).
Manual follow-up is possible by contacting the customer directly if their phone or email is visible in the abandoned order details.
For automated recovery, install the Automator app from the app marketplace. The Automator app can send timed follow-up messages, for example via WhatsApp or SMS, to customers who abandoned a cart, prompting them to complete their purchase without any manual effort on your part.
