A connected AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor reaches your store through a fixed set of actions. It cannot browse your dashboard or click around it. Every action is tied to a permission you ticked when you connected the app, so an assistant with read permissions only can answer questions and nothing else. What it can read
- Read store details: store name, storefront address, theme, timezone, plan, and every market with its currency.
- Read products: the catalogue with images, variants, stock and per-market prices, searchable by name.
- Read collections: how your products are grouped, with a product count for each collection.
- Read orders: orders with their totals, status, payment and shipping method, line items and addresses.
- Read customers: names, contact details, order count and lifetime value. Nothing payment related is ever included.
- Read reviews: product reviews with their rating and whether they are approved.
- Read analytics: revenue, orders, average order value, sessions and conversion for a date range, against the previous period, and broken down by product, market, status, payment method, day, country or device.
- Read media: the media library with the public address of each file, so an assistant can reuse an image you already uploaded.

What it can change
- Manage products: edit an existing product's name, description, SEO fields and visibility, and set stock and per-market price on each variant.
- Manage collections: add products to a collection or take them out.
- Manage orders: move orders through the status list, up to 50 at a time.
- Moderate reviews: approve reviews so they show on the storefront, or hide them.
- Edit storefront design: change sections, layout and styling on the live storefront.
How Storeep data works
These rules decide whether an answer is right, and the assistant is told about them the moment it connects.
- Price and stock are not on the product. They live on each variant, and separately for each market. A product with no variants has no price and cannot be bought.
- No stock number is not the same as out of stock. A variant with stock tracking turned off is always available.
- A market is a country with its own currency, its own prices and its own storefront design. Asking "what does this cost" only has an answer once the market is known.
- Order status is a fixed list of fourteen values, from abandoned through to returned. Abandoned means the checkout was never completed, and those orders are left out of every revenue figure. See Order statuses.
- Paid and fulfilled are separate from status. A cash on delivery order is usually marked delivered before it is marked paid.
What it can never do
- Nothing to do with money or your account: your wallet, your plan, payouts and billing are out of reach entirely.
- Nothing that changes who has access: staff, permissions, access tokens and other connections cannot be touched.
- Nothing to do with infrastructure: domains cannot be added or changed, and a store cannot be deleted.
- No fraud settings: Shield, Cloaking and access control are all off limits.
- No deletions at all. There is no action anywhere in the connection that deletes a product, an order, a customer or a review.
Rules and corner cases
- Creating things stays in Storeep. An assistant edits what exists. Creating a product, building its variant matrix, creating or renaming a collection, and uploading media are all done in the dashboard and the builder.
- Order status changes are real changes. Moving an order fires your webhooks, counts against your plan quota, returns reserved stock to inventory on the statuses that free it, applies the usual billing, and sends push notifications, exactly as if you had done it yourself.
- What your customers write is not an instruction. Review text, customer names and order notes come from the public. The assistant is told to report on them and quote them, never to obey them.
