Overview
As the store owner you can invite other people to help manage your store. Each staff member gets their own Storeep account and can only access the areas you explicitly permit. To manage staff, go to Settings → Staffs.
Inviting a new staff member
- Click Add new staff.
- Enter the Email address of the person you want to invite: required, must be a valid email, maximum 127 characters. The address must not already be associated with your store, and must not already have a pending invitation.
- Select at least one permission (see below). The All permissions checkbox at the top selects or deselects all ten scopes at once. It is tagged Not recommended because granting full access to non-owner accounts increases risk.
- Click Add. Storeep sends an invitation email to the address you provided. The invited person must accept it to gain access. You do not enter their name, it is taken from their own Storeep account once they accept.
Permission scopes
There are ten independent permission scopes. Each one is a checkbox. You must select at least one to save. The store owner always retains full access regardless of this list.
- Statistics: view the Statistics section (ad campaigns, reports, etc.).
- Products: view, add, edit, and delete products.
- Orders: view, add, edit, and delete orders.
- Customers: view, add, edit, and delete customers.
- Reviews: view, add, edit, and delete product reviews.
- Apps: view, install, edit, and uninstall apps.
- Coupons: view, add, edit, and delete coupons.
- Upsells: view, add, edit, and delete upsells.
- Themes: view, install, and uninstall themes.
- Settings: view and edit store settings (includes access to the Domains, SEO, Staff, Webhooks, Access Tokens, and Wallet panels).
Important: only the store owner can delete the store itself. Staff with the Products, Orders, or other permissions can delete items within those areas, so grant permissions thoughtfully.
Editing a staff member's permissions
Click a staff member's row in the list to open their permissions editor. All ten checkboxes are shown with their current state. Change any combination and click Save. Changes take effect on the staff member's next action in the dashboard.
Receiving orders in rotation
The staff editor also has a Receive orders in rotation switch. When it is on (the default), new orders that need confirmation are automatically distributed to this staff member, balanced against your other rotation staff, and they see only the orders assigned to them. Turn it off to take someone out of the rotation: they stop receiving new orders but keep the ones already assigned to them. A staff member only takes part in the rotation if they also have the Orders permission. The full behaviour is described in the Assigning orders to staff article.
Removing a staff member
Select the checkbox next to one or more staff rows and click Delete staffs. This removes the staff member's access to your store immediately. Their Storeep account is not deleted.
Pending invitations
If any invitations have been sent but not yet accepted, a button labelled See all N invitations appears above the staff table. Click it to open the Invitations panel, which lists each pending invitation by email address and sent date.
To cancel an invitation, select it and click Delete invitations. This removes the invitation. If the invited person then clicks the link in the email, they will not be able to join.
Notes on the invitation flow
- Sending a second invitation to an address that already has a pending invitation is blocked with an error.
- If the invitee does not already have a Storeep account, they will create one during the acceptance flow.
- There is no expiry on invitations. They remain pending until accepted or deleted.
