Overview
As the store owner you can invite other people to help run your store. Each staff member signs in with their own Storeep account and can only reach the areas you explicitly allow. To manage your team, go to Settings → Staffs. The owner always keeps full access and is the only one who can delete the store.
Inviting a new staff member
- Open Settings → Staffs and click Add new staff.
- Enter the Email address of the person you want to invite. It is required, must be a valid email, and can be at most 127 characters. The address cannot already belong to a staff member of this store, and cannot already have a pending invitation.
- Select at least one permission (see below). The All permissions checkbox at the top selects or deselects all ten scopes at once. It is tagged Not recommended because giving a non-owner full access raises your risk.
- Click Add. Storeep emails an invitation to the address you entered, and the person must accept it before they can sign in. You do not type their name: it is pulled from their own Storeep account once they accept.
The person needs a Storeep account registered with that same email address to accept the invitation. Invitations do not expire: they stay pending until accepted or deleted.
Permission scopes
There are ten independent permission scopes, each a checkbox. You must select at least one to save, otherwise you see Please select at least one permission. The store owner always has every scope regardless of this list.
- Statistics: view the statistics dashboard and reports.
- Products: see, add, edit, or delete products.
- Orders: see, add, edit, or delete orders.
- Customers: see, add, edit, or delete customers.
- Reviews: see, add, edit, or delete product reviews.
- Apps: see, install, edit, or uninstall apps.
- Coupons: see, add, edit, or delete coupons.
- Upsells: see, add, edit, or delete upsells.
- Themes: see, install, or uninstall themes.
- Settings: view and edit store settings. This opens the full Settings area, including Essentials, Domains, SEO, Markets, Webhooks, Access Tokens, Wallet, and Staffs, so a staff member with this scope can also invite or remove other staff.
Important: only the owner can delete the store, but staff with Products, Orders, or other scopes can delete items inside those areas. Grant permissions thoughtfully.
Editing permissions
Click a staff member's row to open their editor, titled Staff: name. All ten checkboxes show their current state. Change any combination and click Save. You still need at least one scope selected. Changes apply to that person's next action in the dashboard.
Removing a staff member
Tick the checkbox next to one or more staff rows, then open the table menu and click Delete staffs. This removes their access to your store immediately. Their personal Storeep account is not deleted, and you can re-invite them later.
Pending invitations
When invitations have been sent but not yet accepted, a button labelled See all N invitations (or See the invitation for a single one) appears above the staff table. Click it to open the Invitations panel, which lists each pending invitation by email address and the date it was sent.
To cancel one, tick it and click Delete invitations. The invitation is removed, so if the person later clicks the link in their email they will not be able to join. Sending a second invitation to an address that already has a pending one is blocked with an error.
