Opening account settings
Go to Settings → Account settings. The modal has two tabs: Personal information and Change password. Click Save to apply changes from either tab.
Personal information tab
Photo
This is your profile photo. Click the upload area to browse your store's media library or upload a new image.
- The photo must resolve to a file in your store's media library. To remove a photo, clear the field before saving.
First name
- Required. Blank values (including spaces only) are rejected.
- Maximum 25 characters.
Last name
- Required. Blank values (including spaces only) are rejected.
- Maximum 25 characters.
Email address
- Required and must be a valid email format.
- Maximum 127 characters.
- Saved in lowercase.
- Must not already be in use by another Storeep account.
- Email change flow: if you enter a different email, Storeep does not apply it right away. A 6-digit verification code is sent to the new address, and you must enter it in the confirmation modal before the change takes effect. This proves you own the new inbox.
Phone number
- Required.
- Pick your country code from the flag dropdown first.
- Enter the local number (without the country prefix) in the number field. It is validated against the selected country's format rules.
- The saved value combines your country code and local number in international format.
Change password tab
Fill this tab only if you want to update your password. Leave all three fields blank to save personal information without touching your password.
Current password
Required when changing your password. Storeep verifies it against your stored password before accepting a new one.
New password
Must satisfy all of these at once:
- At least 8 characters long.
- At least one uppercase letter (A to Z).
- At least one lowercase letter (a to z).
- At least one number (0 to 9).
- Must not be identical to your current password.
Confirm new password
Must match the new password exactly. The comparison is case-sensitive.
Saving and email verification
Click Save. Your name, photo, phone, and password are applied immediately. If you changed your email, a verification code modal appears: check your new inbox and enter the 6-digit code to finish the switch. Changing your password keeps you signed in on all your devices.
Pitfalls to watch for
- The email verification code is sent to the new address, not your current one. If it does not arrive, check the spam folder.
- The verification code expires after 1 hour. If it lapses, save the email change again to get a fresh code.
- You get 5 attempts to enter the code. After 5 wrong tries, the pending change is cancelled and you must start the email change over.
- A new password that meets every rule is still rejected if it is identical to your current one. Storeep blocks this on purpose.
- Account settings require the Settings permission. Staff without it get an error when the modal opens.
