Your account and password

Update your profile photo, name, email address, phone number, and password from the Account settings panel.

Opening account settings

Go to Settings → Account settings. The modal has two tabs: Personal information and Change password.

Personal information tab

Photo

Click the upload area to pick a profile photo from your media library.

  • Allowed formats: WebP, JPEG, or PNG only.
  • Maximum size: 1 MB.
  • The photo must already exist in your store's media library. To remove a photo, clear the field before saving.

First name

  • Required.
  • Maximum 25 characters.
  • Blank values are not accepted.

Last name

  • Required.
  • Maximum 25 characters.
  • Blank values are not accepted.

Email address

  • Required.
  • Must be a valid email format.
  • Maximum 127 characters.
  • Email addresses are saved in lowercase.
  • Must not already be in use by another Storeep account.
  • Email change flow: if you enter a different email address, Storeep does not apply it immediately. A 6-digit verification code is sent to the new address. You must enter that code in the confirmation modal before the change takes effect. This ensures only the owner of the new inbox can confirm the switch.

Phone number

  • Required.
  • Select your country code from the flag dropdown first.
  • Enter the local number (without the country prefix) in the number field. The number is validated against the selected country's format rules.
  • The final saved value combines your country code and local number in international format.

Change password tab

You only need to fill this tab if you want to update your password. Leave all three fields blank to save personal information without changing your password.

Current password

Required when changing your password. Storeep verifies that your current password is correct before accepting a new one.

New password

Must satisfy all four strength requirements at the same time:

  • At least 8 characters long.
  • At least one uppercase letter (A–Z).
  • At least one lowercase letter (a–z).
  • At least one digit (0–9).
  • Must not be identical to your current password.

Confirm new password

Must match the new password exactly. The comparison is case-sensitive.

Saving

Click Save. If you are changing your email address, a verification code modal appears after saving. Check your new inbox and enter the code. If you are changing your password, you remain logged in on all your devices automatically.

Pitfalls to watch for

  • If the verification email for a new address does not arrive, check your spam folder. The code is sent to the new address, not your current one.
  • A password that meets all four requirements can still be rejected if it is identical to your current password. Storeep explicitly blocks this to prevent accidental no-change saves.
  • Account settings require the Settings permission. Staff without that permission will receive an error when the modal opens.
