Builder sections and blocks

How do I add an FAQ section with questions and answers?

Add an FAQ (frequently asked questions) section to your pages: questions that open when clicked, accordion or independent mode, opened by default, divider, card, or plain style, a title beside or above the questions, and FAQ data for search engines.

3 min read

The FAQ section shows a list of questions. Shoppers click a question to open its answer. Use it to answer what people ask you most, about delivery, payment, returns, or sizes.

Add the section

  1. Open the builder and go to the page you want. The FAQ works on every page except the thanks, search, and 404 pages, one per page.
  2. In the Sections tab, click Add new section and pick FAQ from the Content group.
  3. Select the Questions block and click Add new block to add a Question. You can add up to 20.
  4. Type each question and its answer, then click Publish.

How the section is built

The FAQ holds up to 10 blocks: up to 2 Text blocks (for a title and a short intro), 1 Divider, 1 Group, and the Questions block that holds the list.

  • Direction: Vertical puts the title above the questions, Horizontal puts it beside them. With Horizontal, Stack vertically on mobile stacks them on phones.
  • Position and Alignment: place the blocks in the section.
  • Section width, Color scheme, Padding, and a Custom CSS tab.

Text, divider, and group settings are in Group, Text, Button, and Divider blocks: how do the layout component settings work?

The Questions block

  • Style: Divider draws a line between questions, Card puts each question in its own box, Plain shows no separation.
  • Interaction: Accordion closes the other questions when one opens. Independent lets several stay open.
  • Opened by default: shows every answer open when the page loads. It only appears with Independent.

Each question

  • Question: the text shoppers click.
  • Answer: the text that opens. You can use bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough.

Drag questions to change their order. Hide a question to keep it for later without showing it.

Tips

  • Keep answers short and clear. Put the most asked question first.
  • On the product or landing page, answer doubts that stop people from ordering: delivery time, cash on delivery, and returns.
  • For a long FAQ, use Horizontal direction with a title on one side and the questions on the other, so the page stays short.
