Every section and block in the builder can be duplicated, hidden, or deleted, with a few exceptions. This article explains each action and when to use which one.
Where to find these actions
- In the Sections tab: each row has an eye icon (Hide or Show) and a trash icon (Delete) on the right.
- In the menu: right-click a row in the Sections tab, or select the element and click the Menu button at the top of the settings panel. The menu has Duplicate, Hide or Show, and Delete.
If an icon or menu item is missing, that action is not possible for this element (see below).
Duplicate
Duplicate adds an exact copy right after the original, with all its settings and all the blocks inside it. The preview scrolls to the new copy so you can see it. Then change what you need, for example the text of the second banner.
Duplicate is greyed out with Limit reached when the page or section already has the maximum number of that type. For example, a page can only have one header. To place a copy somewhere else, or on another page, use Copy and Paste. See Copy and paste sections, blocks, and styles.
Hide and Show
Hide removes the element from the page without deleting it. It disappears from the preview, and from your live store once you publish. All its settings are kept, so Show brings it back exactly as it was. A hidden row shows a crossed eye in the Sections list.
- Use it for seasonal content, like a sale banner you show again next year.
- Use it to test the page without a section before you decide to delete it.
- You can hide single blocks too. In the header, you can hide the Search or Localization block, even though header blocks cannot be deleted.
- A hidden section still counts toward the limit of its type on the page.
Delete
Delete removes the element and everything inside it. There is no confirmation step, but Undo (or Cmd/Ctrl + Z) brings it back while you are still on that page in the builder. Once you publish and leave the builder, a deleted section cannot be restored. When you are not sure, hide it instead.
What cannot be hidden or deleted
- Required sections cannot be hidden or deleted on their page: Product info, Landing info, Collection products, Search products, Cart, Checkout, Order confirmation, Contact, Policy, and 404.
- Fixed blocks, like the five header blocks (Logo, Menu, Search, Cart, Localization), cannot be duplicated or deleted. Most of them can be hidden.
- Required blocks inside a section cannot be hidden or deleted, because the section would break without them.
- The Product card and Collection card themselves cannot be hidden, but their parts (image, title, price, and so on) can.
- The order form of the landing page cannot be hidden, because it is the only way to buy.
The header and footer are not required, so take care not to delete them by mistake.

- Duplicate, hide, show, and delete only change the page you are on. Click Publish to make them live. See Publishing your builder changes.
