Most login problems come from a typo in the email, an old password, or an email code that has expired. Find your message below. For the normal steps, see Sign up and log in.
"The password you have entered is incorrect"
- Check the email address first. Storeep shows this message when the email or the password is wrong.
- Click the eye icon to see what you typed. Check Caps Lock and your keyboard language.
- Did you sign up with Google? Your account may have no password you know. Use Continue with Google, or set a password with Forgotten password?.
- Still stuck? Reset it, see Reset your password.
The email verification code does not arrive
- Look in your spam, junk and promotions folders for an email called Email address confirmation.
- Check the address shown on the Verify your e-mail page. If it is wrong, click Start over and register again.
- Click Resend it. If you see "Please resend the pin code once the counter time has elapsed", wait a minute and try again.
"The pin code has expired" or "Too many incorrect attempts"
The signup code works for one hour and allows a few tries. Click Resend it to get a new code, then use the newest email only. Older codes stop working when a new one is sent.
The login code does not arrive
On a new device, Storeep asks for a code on the Confirm it's you page after your password.
- Look in your spam and junk folders for an email from Storeep with the 6-digit code in its subject.
- The page shows the first letter and the domain of the address the code went to. Make sure it is an inbox you can open.
- Click Resend it once the counter ends. The code works for 10 minutes, and only the newest one counts.
"Too many incorrect attempts. Please request a new code." or "This sign in has expired"
A login code stops working after 5 wrong tries. Click Resend it for a new one. If more than 10 minutes pass after you entered your password, the page sends you back to log in again.
"Too many attempts. Please wait 15 minutes and try again."
Too many wrong passwords were tried for this email, or from your network, in a short time. Wait 15 minutes, then try again or reset your password, see Reset your password.
I lost the phone with my authenticator app
On the Confirm it's you page, click Use a backup code and type one of the backup codes you saved, or click Email me a code instead. Once you are in, turn the app off and set it up on your new phone, see Security and two-step verification.
Google sign-in does not work
- If you closed the Google window or refused access, you return to the login page. Just try again.
- In the Storeep mobile app, Google opens in your phone's browser. Finish there and you come back to the app.
- Pick the Google account whose email matches your Storeep account. Another email makes Storeep start a new, separate account.
I was logged out
- If Remember me was not ticked, you are signed out when the browser closes.
- Resetting your password with Forgotten password? signs you out on every device.
- This device may have been signed out from Settings, Logins on another device.
"The email address you have entered already exists"
That email already has a Storeep account. Log in instead, or reset the password. You cannot open a second account on the same inbox.
My account is gone
When you delete the only store you belong to, your Storeep account is deleted with it. Register again to start over. See Delete a store.
Someone else logged in to my account
- Change your password in Settings, Security. This also ends every trusted device, see Security and two-step verification.
- Open Settings, Logins and sign out every device you do not know.
- Check the list of your staff members and your AI assistant connections, see Review or disconnect an AI assistant.
If you still cannot get in, write to support@storeep.com from the email address on your account.
