Your Storeep account is personal: it is your login, and it can own or join several stores. This article covers creating the account, confirming your email, logging in and logging out. If something goes wrong, see I can't log in.
Create an account with your email
- Open the Register page (from the login page, click Register).
- Fill in Firstname, Lastname, Email address and Phone number (pick your country code first).
- Choose a Password. It needs at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number. The strength bar under the field helps you.
- Type the characters shown in the Captcha box.
- Click Continue.
Each email address can only have one Storeep account. Gmail addresses written with dots or a plus tag count as the same inbox, so they cannot open a second account.
Confirm your email with the 6-digit code
After you register, Storeep sends a 6-digit code to your email and shows the Verify your e-mail page. Type the code in the six boxes and click Verify. You only do this once, to prove the inbox is yours.
- No email? Check your spam folder, then click Resend it. A short counter must finish before you can ask again.
- The code works for one hour. After that, or after too many wrong tries, ask for a new code.
- Typed the wrong email? Click Start over and register again with the right one.
Once your email is confirmed, you create your first store. See Create your store.
Sign up or log in with Google
Click Continue with Google on the login or register page and pick your Google account.
- New to Storeep? Google fills in your name and email. You see a One last step page that asks only for your phone number, then click Continue. No email code is needed, because Google already confirmed your email.
- Already have a Storeep account with the same email? Google sign-in joins that account. You can then log in either way.
Sign in with Apple
Continue with Apple appears only in the Storeep app for iPhone and iPad. On a computer, use your email and password or Google.
- Open the login page and enter your Email address and Password. The eye icon shows the password so you can check it.
- Leave Remember me ticked to stay signed in on this device for about a month. Untick it on a shared computer, so you are signed out when the browser closes.
- Click Login.
- On a browser or phone Storeep does not know yet, the Confirm it's you page opens. Enter the 6-digit code sent to your email, or the code from your authenticator app if you turned one on, then click Verify. Keep Trust this device for 30 days ticked on your own device so it does not ask again. Untick it on a shared computer.
Logging in with Google or Apple does not ask for this code, because they already check it is you. If you have the Storeep mobile app, every new login sends a Security Alert notification to your phone. If it was not you, change your password and sign out the unknown device, see below.
Log out
Open the account menu (the user icon, top right) and click Log out. This signs out this device only. To sign out other devices, open Settings, Logins, see Logins and banned sessions.
Is there two-step verification?
Yes. When you log in with your email and password from a browser or phone Storeep does not know yet, it asks for a 6-digit code first, so a stolen password alone is not enough. The code comes by email, or from an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator once you turn one on. Changing your email or password asks for a code too. See Security and two-step verification.
