Each page in the builder keeps its own copy of every section, even the header and footer. So when you change the header on the Home page, the Product page still has the old one. Apply to all pages copies one section onto all your other pages in one step.
How to use it
- Open the page that has the section the way you want it, and finish your edits to that section.
- Right-click the section in the Sections tab, or select it and click the Menu button at the top of the settings panel.
- Click Apply to all pages. The hint under it says Except pages that don't include it.
- A warning asks you to confirm: "This will overwrite this section on all other pages." Click Apply, or Cancel to stop.
When it works, you see Applied to all pages successfully.
What it does
- It copies the section with all its settings and all its blocks, including the changes you just made to it.
- It replaces the same section on every other page of the market you are editing. Any special design you gave that section on another page is lost.
- It only works on whole sections, not on single blocks or on the global settings.
- It only changes the market you are editing. To copy a design to another market, see Clone a page or a whole market.
Which pages are skipped
It never adds a section to a page. A page that does not have this section is left alone. For example, a new landing page has no header, so applying the header skips it. To add the section there, copy it and paste it on that page first. See Copy and paste sections, blocks, and styles.
When a page can have more than one section of a type, the position counts. If you apply the second announcement bar of this page, it replaces the second announcement bar on the other pages. Pages with only one announcement bar are skipped.
It goes live right away
Apply to all pages is saved straight to your live store. You do not need to click Publish for it, and this section is also saved on the page you are on. Other unpublished changes on this page are not saved by it, so publish them as usual.
It cannot be undone. Undo only changes what you see in the builder for the current page. It does not bring back the old section on the other pages. If you are about to change a lot, export a backup first. See Export and import a theme preset.
Common uses
- Same header everywhere: edit the header once, then apply it.
- New footer links: update the footer menu or text, then apply it.
- Sale announcement: write the message in the announcement bar, then apply it to every page that has one.
You can also ask the AI assistant, for example "Make the header dark and apply it to all pages". See AI builder actions.
