How do I add an order bump checkbox to the order form?

An order bump is a checkbox right above the buy button that adds one more product to the same order at a price you set. Learn how to set the product, the checkbox text, the discount, which products show it, and markets.

An order bump is a small offer right above the buy button of your order form, for example "Yes, add a phone case to my order for 49 MAD". The buyer ticks the checkbox and one more product joins the same order, without leaving the page. To open order bumps, go to Products, click Sales tools, then Order bumps. Order bumps carry a Beta pill, so they may still change.

Creating an order bump

Click Add new order bump, fill in the fields below, then click Create.

  • Activate (on by default): the checkbox shows in the order form of its products in the chosen markets.
  • Name: only visible to you.
  • Product to offer: buyers get one unit of this product.
  • Checkbox text: the sentence next to the checkbox. {product} becomes the product name and {price} its price after the discount. The default text is "Yes, add {product} to my order".
  • Discount type: No discount, Percentage (fill in Discount percentage) or Fixed amount (fill in Discount amount, in the currency of each market). A fixed amount is never more than the product price.
  • Markets: the countries where the checkbox shows.
  • Products: which product pages show the checkbox (see below).

Which products show it

  • All products: the checkbox shows on every product.
  • Specific products: only on the products you pick.
  • All products except some: on every product but the ones you pick.
  • Products in collections: on the products of the collections you pick.

Only one order bump shows on a product. When several fit, the one for specific products shows first, then the one for collections, then the newest. The offered product never shows its own bump, and it cannot be one of the picked products.

What the buyer sees

  • A card with the product picture, your checkbox text, the price, and the regular price crossed out when there is a discount, with a badge like "- 20%".
  • If the offered product has variants, a list next to the card lets the buyer pick one. Out of stock options are left out.
  • When ticked, the price, the order summary and the free shipping bar count the extra product.

The checkbox works when the buyer orders right away from the product page and when they add the product to the cart. In the cart, the offered product is its own line, and removing the main product also removes it.

The checkbox only shows when the offered product is published and sold in the buyer's market, and at least one of its options is in stock. Storeep checks the bump and its price again when the order is placed, so the buyer always pays the price you set.

Editing and deleting

The list shows the Name, Product offered, Markets and Status (Activated or Deactivated). Click a row to change it, then click Save. To delete order bumps, tick them and choose Delete order bumps.

Tips

  • Offer a small, cheap product that goes with most of your products, like a case, a refill or a gift box.
  • Use {price} in the text so buyers see the deal at a glance.
  • To offer a product after the order instead, use upsells. For packs and tiers, use bundles.
