Where to manage notifications
Go to Settings > Notifications. The Notifications window has two tabs:
- Email: messages sent to your login email address.
- App: push notifications on your phone, sent through the Storeep mobile app. You only get these if you installed the app and signed in to it.
Tick a line to receive it, untick it to mute it, then click Save. You see "Notification preferences have been updated successfully".
Your choices are personal and apply to this store only. Every staff member can open this window and set their own choices, even without the Settings permission. Muting something here never mutes it for anyone else.
The notifications you can turn on or off
- New orders (App): an alert the moment a customer places an order. Sent to the owner and to staff members who have the Orders permission.
- Low stock alerts (Email and App): a heads-up when a variant drops to its alert quantity. Sent to the owner and to staff members who have the Products permission. To set the alert quantity, see Inventory and low-stock alerts.
- Plan and subscription (Email and App): renewal reminders, payment results, and plan limit warnings.
- App subscriptions (Email and App): renewal reminders and payment results for the paid apps you installed.
- Wallet and payments (Email): receipts when an amount is taken from your wallet, and notices about amounts you owe.
- Store setup tips (Email and App): a short reminder of the next step while you set up a new store.
- Webhook failures (Email): a warning when one of your webhooks stops responding. See Webhooks.
The last five are sent to the store owner only, so staff members do not see them in their list.
Messages that are always sent
Some messages cannot be turned off, so you never miss something that needs your attention:
- Sign-in alerts for new logins.
- Login codes, password reset links, and the codes for changing your email or password.
- The notice sent to your old address when your account email changes.
- Staff member invitations.
- Domain verification emails.
- Payment problems, for example a payment gateway error.
Common questions
- I do not get new order alerts, or I want an email for every order. New order alerts only come through the mobile app. All the ways to hear about new orders (push, email, Google Sheets, WhatsApp) are explained in How do I get notified when I receive a new order?
- My customers' emails: this window only controls messages sent to you and your team, not the emails your customers receive.
- Emails go to the wrong address. Notification emails go to your login email. Change it in Account settings.
