Overview
Plans are paid from your store wallet in USD, never by card at the moment of purchase, and every charge is recorded as a Subscription transaction. This article covers what happens after you pick a tier on Plans. For prices and limits, see Which plan should I choose.
Subscribing or upgrading
- Open Plans and pick the Monthly or Annually term with the switch above the cards.
- Click the button on the plan you want: Get started, Upgrade to [plan], Switch to yearly or Switch to monthly. The hint above the button states exactly what is charged today and what follows.
- Confirm the message reading "X USD will be deducted from your wallet balance. Do you want to continue?".
If your balance is short you are sent to Settings, Billing, Add funds. Topping up activates nothing by itself, so return to Plans and pick the plan again once the funds land.
Upgrading in the middle of a cycle
Moving to a higher tier on the term you already pay for is prorated: you pay only the price gap for the days left, shown as "X USD for remaining N days, then Y USD/month". The upgrade applies immediately and your end date does not move. Usage already spent carries over, so your new allowance is the higher cap minus what you have used, and any plan queued for the next cycle is dropped.
Changing term
Buying a yearly term on your tier or a higher one while a monthly cycle is running starts the year today and credits the unused days against the price, shown as "X USD now with your remaining N days credited". The monthly cycle and anything queued are replaced, and the yearly pool starts fresh.
Going the other way, or down a tier, does not interrupt what you are running. The plan is paid now at full price and starts on your current end date, shown as "X USD now, starts on [date]". Only one plan can wait in line at a time, and picking another one replaces it.
Reading your active plan card
The card of the cycle you are on swaps the sales pitch for live figures: USD remaining, orders remaining and Plan ends on. A Renewed plan already scheduled note appears below the end date when another plan is already waiting for the next cycle.
Renewal and reminders
Plans renew automatically on the same tier and the same term, paid from the wallet on the end date. The store owner is warned by email and push notification 7 days ahead when the balance is short and nothing is queued, then again 1 day ahead, either confirming the renewal or asking for funds. A separate warning goes out when 5% or less of a sales or order allowance is left. All of these follow your billing notification settings, so keep that channel on.
Using up your limits before the term ends
When either allowance hits zero, the cycle stops there:
- A plan already waiting in line takes over immediately and runs a full term from your old end date.
- Otherwise a monthly plan renews right away if the balance covers it, with a fresh allowance and the same billing day.
- A yearly plan is not renewed early. The store drops to Starter for the rest of the term and the owner is emailed.
If the wallet cannot pay, or the term simply expires unpaid, the store stays on Starter and its orders accrue Starter usage fees until you subscribe again.
Going over your limit
An order that only partly fits your remaining allowance is never refused. The part above the allowance is charged at 0.25% and added to your due amount. Once that due amount reaches your billing threshold (it starts at 5 USD and grows by 5 USD after each settlement, up to 20 USD), new orders arrive hidden until you pay. A dashboard banner shows what you owe and links to both the deposit page and Plans.
Cancelling a plan
Click Cancel plan on your active card and confirm. Cancellation drops the running plan and anything queued immediately, with no refund for the time or quota you paid for, and the store reverts to Starter rates from that moment. A yearly plan warns you first that the months you already paid for will be lost. There is no waiting for the end of the period, so cancel on your end date if you want the full value.
Who can do this
Only the store owner can subscribe, upgrade, change term or cancel. Staff with the Plans permission can read the page, but every action is refused with a permission error.
