Storeep can be connected to an AI assistant you already use, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. Once connected, you talk to your store from inside that app: ask how last week went, find products that ran out of stock, move orders to shipped, rewrite a policy page, or redesign a page. The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), the standard way AI apps plug into other services.
This is different from Building with the AI assistant, where Amed works inside the builder on the page you are looking at, and from asking Amed a question with the Support button. A connected assistant works from its own app and reaches the whole store.
What you need
- An AI app that supports custom connectors (also called remote MCP servers).
- A Storeep account with at least one store. You approve the connection while signed in, and it can never do more than you are allowed to do yourself.
- No plan requirement. It works on every plan, including Starter.
- No key to copy. You never create or paste a token. Approval happens on a Storeep page in your browser. If anyone asks you to paste a Storeep token into a chat, do not.
The address to connect to
Every AI app asks for the same address:

You can also copy it from Settings, MCP connections, in the Connection address field (click the copy icon).
Adding the connector
Menu names change between versions of these apps, so look for the wording rather than the exact path.
Claude
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Storeep, paste the address above, and add it.
- Click Connect on the new entry to start the sign-in.
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal, then type /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in:

ChatGPT
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose to add a connector and paste the address above.
- Complete the sign-in when it opens your browser.
Cursor
- Open Settings, then the MCP section.
- Add a new server of the HTTP type with the address above.
- Sign in when Cursor asks you to.
Approving the connection
The app sends you to a Storeep page titled Connect [app name]. If you are not logged in, log in first. You decide three things:
- Which stores. Every store you belong to is listed, and the one you were last working in is already ticked. Tick more to cover them with one connection.
- Which permissions. Only what the app asked for is listed, each with a short description, and all of it starts ticked. Untick anything you want to hold back. Entries that change your store carry a Can change your store tag.
- Ask me again before every change. Shown only when the app asked to change something. Tick it and Storeep asks you to confirm each change before it is saved. Safer, but slower.
Click Connect to finish, or Cancel to refuse. The page warns that the assistant will act on its own, including on text your customers wrote, so grant only what you need. To change the permissions later, see Review or disconnect an AI assistant.
Limits
- Request speed. A very busy assistant may be asked to wait a minute before its next request.
- 500 changes per store per day, counted over the last 24 hours and shared by every assistant connected to that store. Reading never counts, so questions never use it up.
- 10 new products, 20 images and 5 videos per store per day, also counted over the last 24 hours. These are part of the 500 changes, with a lower cap of their own. You can still add as many as you like yourself in the dashboard.
- Staying signed in. The connection renews itself while you use it. After about three months without use, the app asks you to approve it again.
Errors on the approval page
- "You need to create a store before you can connect an app.": create a store first, see Create your store.
- "This authorization request has expired" or "Your session expired while you were deciding": start again from inside the AI app.
- "Your role in the selected stores does not allow you to grant any of the permissions this app is asking for.": you are a staff member without access to those sections. Ask the owner.
- A message about an address the app has not registered: Storeep stopped because the request could be a phishing attempt. Only connect from the official app.
Rules and corner cases
- One connection can cover several stores. The assistant then has to say which store it means on every request, and asks you when it is not clear.
- The name on the approval page comes from the app, not from Storeep. Any app can call itself anything. If the name is not what you expected, cancel and start again from the app you trust.
- "Ask me again before every change" needs app support. If your AI app cannot show Storeep's confirmation, every change is refused and nothing is saved. Connect again without that box ticked, or use an app that supports it.
- Signing out of Storeep does not disconnect anything. Disconnect from Settings, MCP connections.
