What the CJdropshipping app does
CJdropshipping (CJ) is a dropshipping supplier with a large product catalog. With the app you sell CJ products without holding stock: you import a product into your store, and when a buyer orders it, Storeep sends the order to CJ, which packs and ships it to the buyer.
Install and connect
- Open Apps and find CJdropshipping in the Print-on-Demand and Fulfillment tab (or search for it).
- Click Install, then open the app.
- Get your API key from your CJ account on developers.cjdropshipping.com (the link is in the app).
- Enter your Account email (the email of your CJ account) and your API key, then click Connect.
If you see "Please check your credentials because we could not connect to CJdropshipping", check the email and the key and try again. The connection then stays active on its own. If it ever stops working, the app asks for your email and API key again.
Settings
Once connected, two toggles appear, both on by default:
- Activate: when on, new orders with CJ products are sent to CJ.
- Auto-confirm orders: when on, each order is confirmed and paid from your CJ account balance right away, so CJ starts packing. When off, the order waits in CJ until you review and pay it there. Keep money in your CJ balance if you use auto-confirm.
Click Save after changing a toggle.
Import a product
The Products table lists CJ products, 20 per page, with the photo, the Name with the CJ product ID, and the CJ Price (in US dollars). Click the import button on a row (Import the product). You see a success message when it is done.
What you get:
- A physical product, unpublished so you can review it first, with its main photo added to your media library.
- One option group named Variant with one choice per CJ variant (for example a color and size combination).
- Prices converted from the CJ price in US dollars into your store currency and each market's currency. No discount price is set. The CJ price is your cost, so raise your selling prices to make a profit.
- The CJ variant ID saved in each variant's SKU. This is how orders are matched to CJ, so do not change these SKUs.
- A maximum order quantity of 3 and Taxable off. Change both in the product if you need to.
After importing
- Open the product in Products.
- Write your own name and description, add more images, and check the variants.
- Set your selling price per market. See market pricing.
- Publish the product.
How orders reach CJ
- A new order is sent when the buyer checks out. A recovered abandoned order is sent when its status changes from abandoned.
- Only items with a CJ variant ID in their SKU are sent, so a mixed order sends just its CJ items.
- CJ receives the buyer's name, phone, email and full address, and ships from China with CJ's standard shipping.
- With Auto-confirm orders on, the order is paid from your CJ balance. If that payment does not go through, for example because the balance is too low, pay the order in CJ yourself.
Disconnect
Click Disconnect CJdropshipping at the bottom of the app. Imported products stay in your catalog. Only the sending of new orders stops.
Troubleshooting
- No products in the list: the connection may have failed. Disconnect and connect again with your email and API key.
- Orders are in CJ but not shipped: check your CJ balance, or pay the order in CJ if Auto-confirm orders is off.
- Orders do not reach CJ: check that Activate is on and the product variants kept their CJ SKUs.
