The Customers page gives you a single list of every person who has placed at least one order in your store. Customer profiles are built from order data: a customer only appears here once a visible, active order is linked to them. Use this page to look up contact details, review order history, and keep internal notes.
Opening the customers list
In the left-hand navigation, click Customers. The page header reads Customers with the subtitle Know your buyers, grow your relationships. The table shows one row per customer with three columns: Date (when the profile was created, shown in your store's time zone), Fullname, and Phone/E-mail (the phone number is shown when available, otherwise the e-mail). The list is paginated at 40 customers per page.
The Customers permission controls this area. Staff members without it do not see the Customers link in the navigation, and the add, edit, view-details, and delete actions are all blocked for them.
Searching and filtering
Click the filter icon in the actions row at the top of the page (next to the Newsletter button) to open the Filter by panel. The following controls are available:
- Search: a free-text field (up to 255 characters) with the placeholder Enter keywords here. It matches against the customer's first name, last name, full name, e-mail address, and phone number. Name and e-mail matching is not case-sensitive.
- Genders: checkboxes for Male and Female. Tick one or both to narrow the list to customers who have that gender on record. Customers with no gender set are excluded once either box is ticked.
- Date range: two date pickers, Start from and End at. They filter by the date the customer profile was created. You can fill in one field or both. With only Start from set, all customers created on or after that date are shown; with only End at set, all customers up to that date are shown.
- Sort: four radio options, Created at - descending (the default, newest profiles first), Created at - ascending (oldest profiles first), Updated at - descending (most recently edited first), and Updated at - ascending (least recently edited first).
After setting your filters, click Show results. To clear every filter at once, click the broom (reset) icon next to that button.
Viewing a customer's details and order history
Click any row in the table to open the Customer panel. It has two sections:
- Customer information: shows each field that was filled in, in order: Fullname, Birthday, Gender, Email address (with an envelope link that opens a new mail message), Phone (with call and WhatsApp links), Note, and Created at. Empty fields are simply not displayed.
- Customer orders: every order linked to this customer, newest first, paginated at 40. Each row shows the order number, the date and time, the order status (with its color dot), the payment state (Paid or Unpaid, and when paid, the method, for example Cash on delivery, Bank transfer, Card, PayPal, Stripe, CMI, or Paystack), the fulfillment state (Fulfilled or Unfulfilled), the market country flag and name, and the order total with its currency. Clicking an order row opens that order.
From the gear menu inside the panel you can choose Edit customer or Delete customer.
Adding a new customer
- Click Add new customer.
- Fill in the form:
- Firstname: required, up to 25 characters.
- Lastname: optional, up to 25 characters.
- Birthday: optional, must be a valid date and cannot be in the future.
- Gender: optional, select Male or Female.
- Email address: required if no phone number is given, up to 127 characters.
- Phone number: pick a country code from the flag dropdown, then enter the local number. Required if no e-mail is given. The number is validated against the chosen country code.
- Note: an internal memo, up to 255 characters, never shown to the customer.
- Click Add.
Either an e-mail address or a phone number must be provided. If you leave both blank, the form returns the message asking you to enter an e-mail or phone number.
Editing a customer
Open the customer panel by clicking their row, then choose Edit customer from the gear menu. The same fields available when adding a customer can be updated here, with the existing values pre-filled. Click Save when done. Editing a profile does not change any of the customer's existing orders.
Deleting customers
To delete a single customer, open their panel and choose Delete customer from the gear menu. To delete several at once, tick the checkboxes on their rows in the main table and choose Delete customers from the bulk-action toolbar at the top of the table. Deleting a customer profile removes the profile only; it does not delete the orders they placed.
Why a customer is missing from the list
A customer appears in this list only when they have at least one order that is not hidden or deleted linked to them. Because of this, a profile you create with Add new customer will not show up on its own until an order is attached to it. If a customer you expected is missing, confirm that they have a visible, active order.
Reaching the newsletter
From the customers page you can click Newsletter to open the Newsletter page, where e-mail subscribers are managed separately from order-based customer profiles.
