How payment methods work in Storeep
Every payment option in Storeep is delivered as an app. Installing and activating an app makes that payment method appear in your store's checkout and in the payment-method icons shown in the footer. Uninstalling removes it completely. No code changes are required.
Available payment apps
The following payment apps are available in the Apps marketplace (Apps in the left-hand menu):
- Cash on delivery: buyers pay the delivery rider in cash when the parcel arrives. No card or bank account required on your end. See Cash on delivery.
- Bank transfer: displays your bank IBAN at checkout. Buyers transfer the amount manually; you confirm receipt and release the order. Supports multiple banks across different markets.
- Stripe: accepts Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Charges the card the moment the buyer clicks Pay. Requires a Stripe account connected via OAuth. See Online card payments.
- PayPal: adds a PayPal button alongside your card form. Buyers authenticate with PayPal in two taps. Requires a PayPal account connected via OAuth. See Online card payments.
- CMI: accepts payments from every Moroccan bank (Attijari, BMCE, CIH, and others). Settles in Moroccan dirham to your local account. Requires a Client ID and Store key from CMI. See Online card payments.
- Paystack: accepts card, bank transfer, USSD, and mobile money in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Ivory Coast, and Egypt. Requires a Public key and Secret key from Paystack. See Online card payments.
Installing a payment app
- Go to Apps in the left-hand menu.
- Find the payment app you want and click it.
- Click Install. If the app has a price, your store wallet will be charged; you will see a confirmation prompt before any amount is deducted. Free apps also show a confirmation before installing.
- Once installed, the app settings modal opens automatically. Configure the required fields, toggle Activate, and save.
Activating and deactivating a payment method
Every payment app has an Activate toggle in its settings. Turning it on makes the payment method visible to buyers at checkout. Turning it off hides it without uninstalling the app or removing its configuration.
Running multiple payment methods simultaneously
You can have any combination of payment apps installed and active at the same time. Buyers see all active payment options at checkout and choose the one they prefer. There is no limit on how many payment methods you activate.
Where payment method icons appear
Active payment apps automatically surface their icons in your store's footer alongside the checkout button, so buyers can see accepted payment methods before reaching the cart.
Permissions
Only store owners and staff members with the Apps permission can install, configure, or uninstall payment apps.
