Running actions with the AI assistant
Besides editing your design, the AI assistant (Amed) in the builder can run some builder actions for you. It only runs one when you clearly ask for it. For what Amed edits and how billing works, see Build your store with the AI assistant.
Save and publish
Add "and save" or "and publish" to a request, for example "Make the header dark and publish". Amed applies the change and pushes it live, like the Publish button. When Amed says it saved or published, your changes are live.
Undo and redo
Say "Undo the last change", "Undo the last 3 changes", or "Redo that". This works like the Undo and Redo buttons. History is kept per market and per page.
Switch page
Ask for a change on another page, such as "On the checkout page, make the background white", or just "Go to the cart page". Amed opens that page and carries on there.
Apply a section to all pages
Say "Apply this header to all pages" or "Copy the footer to every page". Amed copies that section onto every other page that already has it. Pages without it are skipped. You can combine it with an edit, such as "Make the header dark and apply it to all pages", and the new look is what gets copied.
- This overwrites the section on the other pages and cannot be undone, so Amed asks you to confirm first.
- It works on whole sections that are on your current page, not on single blocks or global settings.
- If the section is not on the current page, Amed asks you to switch to a page that has it.
Export and clone markets
Say "Export this market" to download a .st backup file with every page, the global settings, and the theme of that market. This is the same as Export theme preset in the market menu. Only Storeep can read the file.
Say "Clone the France market into this one" to copy all pages and settings of another market into the market you are editing. This replaces the current design of that market, so Amed asks you to confirm first. It cannot clone a market into itself: to copy the market you are editing into another one, switch the builder to that other market first, then ask again.
- Name the market in plain words, such as "from France". If Amed cannot find it, it lists your markets.
- Importing a backup needs you to pick a file, so Amed explains how to use Import theme preset instead. Importing replaces the market's design.
- On the iOS app, files cannot download inside the app. Export from a browser on a computer.
Inspector mode
Say "Turn on inspector mode" or "Let me click a section". It works like the Inspector button: while it is on, clicking the preview selects that section. Asking again turns it off.
Combining actions
Only save and apply to all pages can be combined with edits in one message. Export, clone, undo, redo, and Inspector run on their own. A full example: "Make the header dark, apply it to all pages, and save". Amed edits first, then copies to all pages, then publishes.
